New Viking 58 C 7/31/2018
The Viking Yacht Company is proud to announce the second generation of our 58 Convertible, the successor to the legendary 1990s model that helped build our proud company into a sportfishing powerhouse.

From 1991 to 2000 we sold 110 of our first-generation 58 Convertibles. “It was our largest boat at the time and a major milestone for us,” Viking President and CEO Patrick Healey says of the "Gen I" 58.

And now, 18 years later, our "Gen II" 58 C is poised to stake its claim as a tournament champion and the best high-performing family cruising yacht in its class. The 58 arrives as the culmination of nearly 55 years of convertible sportfishing design, engineering and manufacturing experience.

"The boat is ideal for the owner/operator family man or the hardcore tournament competitor," says Viking Design Manager David Wilson. "She'll compete in performance, engineering and interior accommodations with larger boats, certainly those well into the 60-plus-foot range."

The 58 C comes on strong with our signature walk-around center console flybridge helm with flanking lounges, 165-square-foot cockpit and observation mezzanine. The private and comfortable three-stateroom, two-head layout maximizes the vessel's 17 ft. 9 in. beam. A forward stateroom with a queen berth is standard, with an optional cross-over arrangement. Our design team has done a phenomenal job with the salon and galley arrangement, creating a highly functional open layout with a balanced mix of amenities for entertaining, relaxing or dining.

Propulsion packages from MAN and MTU are offered with the "Gen II" Viking 58 Convertible. A pair of the new MTU V10 2000 M96L engines rated at 1,600 HP each power hull number one.

The 58 Convertible will make her debut at the annual Viking Dealer Meeting and Sea Trial Event September 10 through 12. For more information contact your authorized Viking dealer or Gina Waldron. You can also see the 58 C at her world premiere at the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show October 31 through November 4.
